ARTHROSCOPY / SPORTS MEDICINE
Treating with Minimal Joint Exposure...

The word arthroscopy comes from two Greek words, "arthro" (joint) and "skopein" (to look). The term literally means "to look within the joint."

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that has transformed orthopedic medicine. It involves the use of a small camera, or arthroscope, inserted through tiny incisions to diagnose and treat joint issues. This advanced technique allows orthopedic surgeons to access and repair damaged joints with pinpoint accuracy, reducing the need for large incisions and lengthy recoveries. Arthroscopy is commonly employed for conditions like torn ligaments, damaged cartilage, and joint inflammation. The benefits include shorter hospital stays, decreased pain, and faster recovery times, ultimately improving patients' quality of life. This innovative approach has become a cornerstone of orthopedic care, offering patients a path to enhanced mobility and reduced discomfort.

VISION CARE

An intraocular lens is implanted in the eye once your natural lens which has turned opaque due to the removal of cataract, to restore your vision to optimal. With advances in available technology for cataract surgery, the kind of intraocular lenses, called IOLs, have also undergone a revolutionary change. The first IOL that was implanted in the human eye, by Sir Harold Ridley in 1949, was made of acrylic called Perspex. Intraocular lenses were approved as “safe and effective” in the USA by the Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) only in 1981. From then to now, the kinds of lenses that are available for implantation has been nothing short of a revolution for cataracts treatment.

With a vision to expand our expertise in other fields of medicine and patient care, in January 2021, we expanded our product range and services in the field of Ophthalmology and IOL lenses. With our expanded service team, we took up the distribution of Johnson& Johnson IOL lenses for the region of Delhi & NCR and parts of Haryana.

REGROW

Our commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals around the world drives us to explore groundbreaking solutions and partnerships that can make a difference. We are thrilled to announce our strategic partnership with Regrow Life Sciences, a leading player in the field of regenerative medicine and cutting-edge biotechnology.

Cell-based therapies like Cartigrow and Ossgrow offer significant advantages to patients, particularly those suffering from orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. These therapies represent a revolutionary approach to regenerative medicine, utilizing the patient's own cells to promote tissue repair and regeneration. Cell-based therapies are typically minimally invasive procedures, which means that patients often experience less pain, reduced scarring, and faster recovery times compared to traditional surgical interventions.

Cartigrow and Ossgrow focus on regenerating specific types of tissues. Cartigrow is designed to restore cartilage in joints, while Ossgrow is aimed at bone regeneration. These therapies provide patients with the potential to heal damaged or degenerated tissues, improving joint function and reducing pain. These therapies harness the body's own healing mechanisms. The use of a patient's own cells reduces the risk of rejection or adverse reactions, as the cells are typically well-tolerated by the patient's immune system.

Xiros

The use of synthetic ligaments in ligament reconstruction has become an area of interest and research in orthopedic surgery. With a rising interest of people in sporting activities, injuries and re-injuries have become a problem-surgeons have to address. Synthetic ligaments, also known as ligament augmentation devices, are artificial structures designed to replace or reinforce damaged or torn ligaments in the body. They can be used in various ligament reconstruction procedures, such as in the knee (ACL or anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction) or other joints, and offer several potential advantages.

Synthetic ligaments are readily available and can be manufactured with strict quality control measures, ensuring sterility and consistent quality. This eliminates the need for harvesting ligaments from the patient's own body (autograft) or obtaining them from a donor (allograft). Synthetic ligaments can offer predictable biomechanical properties, ensuring that the reconstructed ligament has the desired strength and stability.

Episurf

Patellofemoral joint replacement is considered an enigma in the field of orthopedic surgery due to several challenges and complexities associated with this particular type of joint replacement. The patellofemoral joint, which is the joint between the kneecap (patella) and the thigh bone (femur), plays a crucial role in knee function, and its replacement can be particularly challenging. The patellofemoral joint has complex biomechanics, and it is highly sensitive to alterations in alignment, tracking, and stability. Achieving optimal balance in this joint during replacement is challenging. Patients can have varying degrees of patellofemoral joint damage, and their anatomy can differ significantly. This necessitates a highly personalized approach to treatment.

Episurf is a medical technology company that specializes in patient-specific joint resurfacing solutions. Their technology involves the use of 3D scanning and computer-assisted design to create custom-fit implants tailored to each patient's unique joint anatomy. It has the potential to make a difference in addressing the challenges of patellofemoral joint replacement.

Episurf's approach allows for a highly personalized treatment plan, accounting for the patient's individual anatomy and the degree of joint damage. This can improve the fit and alignment of the prosthetic components, enhancing stability and function.
